Pamela Girvin Hackett, MPT, is co-owner and founder of Pediatric Therapeutic Services, Inc. Her work with PTS has enabled her to leverage her early experience building and managing a therapy division for a national staffing company and her professional training as a physical therapist.
Hackett was a senior therapist at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for six years and then developed her own private practice. She met co-founder Diana Fongheiser through a business relationship. The two realized the potential to bring real change to the way that children with disabilities are supported in their school environment. With that objective in mind, together they founded PTS in 1998.
Hackett’s strong clinical background and experience as a school-based therapist helped her to identify opportunities for transforming the traditional model of school therapy in the region. She helped to create the unique management tools, technology solutions, and teacher/therapist training modules that have made PTS a leader in the field.
Hackett’s goal in creating PTS was to combine her passion for helping children with her entrepreneurial spirit to build a highly successful company that would be a blessing to the community.
Hackett is a published author in pediatrics as well as a contributing writer to numerous local and national publications for children with disabilities. She is married to Nick Hackett, and has two children aged 6 and 9. She is a painter, an avid sailor, and does international missions work for children with disabilities.
